    suntour micro drive

I'm considering splitting a bike that has full suntour XC, not microdrive though. It's a mix of XC Pro and XC comp. I have NOS cantis, both front and also the Self energising rears. The rest of the group set is used but in pretty good condition except the Rear mech which recently lost a jockey...

Single Speed versus Geared: Let the fight begin

Seems like a stupid question to me. If you're riding up and down hills all day then single speed is stupid. I've just put a 7 block on my SS because my knees are objecting too!

    38T 94BCD

Hi Chaps, I'm after a 38T 94BCD 5 Bolt chainring. It's going on my "piss about super retro funky" bike so it will be the only chainring so I want something strong with no ramps. If you've got something kicking about that's pretty new looking and ready to ride please let me know. I've got...

    Pedals?

To be honest I've found that the riding I'm doing on this bike means that I don't always want to be clipped in so really want flat pedals. I've heard good things about speedplay in the past so I might give them a go on a road bike in te future.

    Pedals?

Best grip/shape - Easton cully / flatboy (cullys are nicest though) 570/600g Middle weight middle grippyness > Shimano MX 30's (530g) Low weight but still grippy > Wellgo MG1's (380g) Christ those Easton Cullys are pricey! I thought flat pedals would be cheaper than spuds!

    Pedals?

I'm looking for some pedals for my not too retro Santa Cruz Superlight. I would usually use SPDs but my right knee is giving me gip so I think flat pedals would be the best option. Since pedals are such a dull piece of a bike and I've always used SPDs I've got no idea what to get. Every time I...

WARNING DONT BUY FROM NUMBER1BIKEBITS ON EBAY AKA DAVE HINDE

No, and I can't blame anybody except me or that. I think I can speak for a lot of people who use ebay that when you see a power seller with 13000 + feedback you just presume they are reputable and will deliver. If only I had typed "number1bikebits" into google first! Go on, it's a laugh...

    Coloured cable outers

I'm the guy with the pink cables on my Explofif  They're not retro but I don't care. They are Jagwire cables which are meant to be very good quality and come with plastic sleeves to stop water getting in and the bare cable rubbing against beautiful retro paintwork! Pretty sure they...

    Retro Full Sus

I quite like the Bazooka, maybe a bit too downhill or me though. Thanks for the Proflex pic Chris, I see you've had a lot of fun on that!! I think I'm after a little more travel than its little elastomer can supply though! To be honest I think I'm really after something with about 3 or 4...

    Retro Full Sus

I'm looking for a full suspension bike for the first time and I keep getting beaten on eBay so I thought I'd see if anyone here has anything. I've never had a FS bike before so not too sure what I want. Frame size might help, around 17 or 18" I like AMP, Rocky Mountain, Yeti, Manitou and...
