Honest question - what's so great about Kleins?

Personally I find these threads a little tedious to read. Choosing a mountain bike is a personal thing end of story. Sometimes it’s easy to see the historical significance of a particular brand/frame/component and hence why someone may be passionate about it and sometimes it’s not. Sometimes...

Honest question - what's so great about Kleins?

I got my 93 Attitude on the cheap so yes I'd have a Klein not because I find it great to ride (I don't) but for me it represents an important piece of mountain biking history and that's important to me. Simple 8)

I'm sure you have plenty of suitable pedals you could put on for a photo to meet the second criteria ;)

why so much love for ritcheys ?

Apples and Oranges in some respects and horses for courses in others. I prefer the ride of my Ti Kona to my P-23 on my local trails but any comparison of early 90s to later 90s and fairly different builds is irrelevant in so many respects. I'm not sure that really adds much to the discussion...

old members and were have they gone

Yes there's only so many ways to free a stuck post, and a limit to how many times you want to read about it ;) I'd have to say that the number of e wars over high end vs low end became rather tedious at times and quality topics seemed to decline for a reasonable period too...

Show us (your) 80's mountain bikes !

Don't have any great photos at the moment but this is my early 84 lugged Bianchi which was built in Japan with Ishiwata MTB tubing (according to the small frame sticker). It was saved from the South Hobart tip shop by a guy I know because it had some seriously rare high flange BMX hubs which...

surprised you didn't find much info as a quick google search came up with a reasonable amount for me. Should look like this...

Anybody got any info on this? A little new sorry.

think I have a pic of that frame in an old MBA which I should be able to locate relatively easily. Whoever put it together obviously doesn't know how to put it together, and yes this area gets more traffic, but the other section gets the right traffic ;)

The myth of Biopace... Let's discuss

Assume you mean approximately 90 degrees as a 5 arm crank makes 90 degrees changes a challenge ;)

Yes those are the ones I was thinking of. Have photos in a book of other early ones too.
