I know its a little new, but this section gets sooo much more traffic than 98>
I've got this frame on the way, we believe its a 1999-2000 Dirtworks Monster
I've spent quite a bit of time searching the web but there if very little info available
Can anybody confirm the age and advise me on the best way to build it using what was used at the time?

All info and advise greatfully recieved

think I have a pic of that frame in an old MBA which I should be able to locate relatively easily.

Whoever put it together obviously doesn't know how to put it together, and yes this area gets more traffic, but the other section gets the right traffic

I can't find too much like you but it does seem they were started around 1992 and then later folded to be restarted around 2005? by a chap called robert taylor.

Surely its too early for discs, there isn't a mount on the rear of the frame.
I'm sure it will end up looking something like that, without the 3 spokes though

I've not got it here yet. But i would assume that fitting a longer shock, its 200mm standard, would increase travel and bb height and a shorter one the opposite?

With the shock, you could go for one with a longer/shorter overall length and then play with the stroke length too to change the travel. Personally I think the b/b looks quite high already so I'd steer away from getting a longer overall shock.

Nice frame though, I was tempted

Id agree, rule of thumb is often chainstay = horizontal.

I think you should build it as above?
