RTS rear cantilever brake part wanted!

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have one of these knocking around in their drawer of 'bits that might come in useful one day'? As far as I know they were only used on RTS frames made from about 1995 or later, and they're needed in order to run cantilever brakes. N.B. Apologies to...

GT RTS1 - a bit steep on the starting price

Fair point - I hadn't spotted that. Strange about the 7000 series aluminum sticker, as it does have the Team RTS/RTS 1 version of the rear shock. The reservoir part doesn't have the usual Noleen sticker on it, though. Might the frame have been cleaned up and some new stickers put on?

If only I had some spare peddles. Is it just me who distrusts badly spelled listings?

Is this link any help? http://www.enduroforkseals.com/sitebuil ... ervice.pdf There's a scanned extract from "Sutherland’s Rockshox Front Suspension Handbook" on the same site somewhere too, which explains assembly/disassembly with plenty of pics. If you can't find it, PM me your email...

How many of you own an RTS on here?

Another two here. One's a 16" RTS 2 from 1994, the other's a larger and later RTS (1996/1997), which previously belonged to Drapoon and is still just a frame. Parts are shortly to be transplanted on to the larger frame to save my knees. The pic shows the larger frame (pic courtesy of Drapoon...

    Drapoon's feedback

I'll second everything here - top bloke, remained patient and understanding despite me making things as difficult as possible.

    royce bottom bracket tool

Did you ever track one of these down? I need one too, for my RTS. A friend of mine was telling me that Ben Haywards in town used to stock Royce stuff, and that it might be worth asking them if they still had any tools knocking around their workshop.

Swap: My medium GT RTS frame for your large RTS frame

Having read Hilts's "I wish I was a little bit smaller" thread, not only have I started humming the (appropriately retro) Skee-Lo song, I've also been wondering if anyone has a GT RTS that's a bit too big for them? Mine's a 16" RTS 2 (see http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15459)...

    GT RTS-2

I knew there would come a time when I would need this photo. This is from a 1993 or 1994 RTS 2. I don't know the length of the shock but it's a Noleen and there's on one currently on ebay.com at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Old-School-GT-RTS ... p1638.m122 Hope that helps Rich

    Most influential bikes ever

Agree with the Muddy Fox Courier and the Stumpjumper - they both got thousands of people into mountain biking. I'd also vote for the GT RTS, though. It was the first mass-market full-suspension bike that could handle, climb and sprint like a hardtail. Everyone else was playing catch-up as soon...
