BARGAIN OF THE WEEK. What have you had cheap?

I got an RTS 2 and a Cannondale touring bike from Gumtree for bargain prices, but then accidentally paid well over the going rate for a Cannondale road bike on eBay a few months later. Swings and roundabouts!

    1994 GT RTS-1

I was thinking the same thing. What was the difference between the 1993 and 1994 rear triangles?

    1994 GT RTS-1

Can't wait to see this built up - I've not seen an RTS in those colours before, and this one looks in superb condition. You even got the rear brake rocker - gold dust, those things. Decals-wise, it's a lot like my 1995 frame (keep scrolling down here for the latest version...

My 'new' GT RTS2 - Major Update 09/08/08

I still have the old frame, complete with half-removed Royce BB. Kase1983 was interested in having a look at it, and if he doesn't take it then I'll offer it on this site.

My 'new' GT RTS2 - Major Update 09/08/08

Update Have been working on this for far too long, but it's finally finished. The 16" frame was a mite too small for me, so found a 1995/1996 (not really sure to be honest) 18" frame to replace it (thanks Drapoon!). Swapping everything over has taken a little longer than anticipated (especially...

Still kicking around! That pic is from the RTS frame which is yours if you still want it? Just have to make it down to the shop one Sunday...

OK, so what shades do you waer on your retro ride???

Arnet Catfish. Even though they make me look like a fly.

    Sutty24's bikes

Any idea what year that Apex is? I seem to remember one like that winning a MBUK rigid steel test around 1994/5/6 (!). A surprising amount of drool subsequently fell on those particular pages, and I've been after one ever since. Nice RTS too - have one very similar. Shame about the crack, but...

    leckhampton??

Leckhampton Hill is where I cut my mountain-biking teeth as a nipper in the late 80s and early 90s. Fond memories. I was walking there recently and it looks like there are now some purpose-built paths? Must take my RTS with me next time I go to see my folks.

Now something completely different! ; Cannondale SH600 2X2

I use a 1991 ST600 as my commuter, and it looks like a very similar frame. Yours looks great - can't believe what good condition it's in.

BoTM May 2008 - GT Special

Here's my version of what seems to be the marmite of mountain biking... More here: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... highlight= Slim's understated class will be getting my vote, though. Edit: Hopefully the first pic is now a bit bigger.

after some pic's off that zasker re issue

Was it this one? (he says, desperately trying to make up for breaking your bottom bracket tool...) http://www.bikeradar.com/gallery/articl ... 6120?img=4

    GT RTS

Any chance you could post a pic of how you've bodged the rear brake? Sounds like it might be the simplest solution!

    GT RTS

Fantastic looking bike! Do you still have your spare rear brake part? I've got the same problem as you had... (see http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... highlight= )

Things I have an irrational/unfounded dislike of...

Yikes - I own a full-sus GT. And two Cannondales. AND I can't resist pointing out Kaiser's incorrect use of the apostrophe. :D I'd better keep quiet.

    Klein Horizon Fade

Like it! Any chance you can bring this one into work sometime?!
