Thanks daugs. Not sure about drive train tbh as it kind of jerks every now and again under load. Chain broke last ride which suggests it is worn, but gears all function perfectly. Wheels are Shinmano WH-M505 and literally new - done not even 100 miles. It has been well cared for and always kept...

One owner from new - me! It all works, but has been well used. One dent in a chain stay. Wheels are new Shimano WH-505. Otherwise pretty standard What's it worth please?

Hamster - that was quick thanks. but now I am confused :? The frame number is M42CA0079 and looking at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62940&hilit=decoding+Marin+numbers that suggests it is a '92? is that possible? it is a 17.5" so that fits with the C but the 4 after the M suggests it's an Eldridge...

I can't remember when I bought it! Is it possible to date from the serial number?
