    Peugeot Athena 653

Re: Really love riding my Peugeot Athena 653, using it most weekends. The chain snapped a couple of weeks ago, so I replaced the chain and thought I should also replace the Regina Extra 7 speed freewheel 12-21 as best practice. Thinking this was going to be a task finding a replacement, thanks...

    Hercules Roadster 1930’s

Re: lumos2000 - Nice build. New wheels and hubs by the looks of it. My plan (at the moment) is to use as much of the original components as possible. Remove all rust, clean, oil, re-grease and reassemble. Never dealt with so much rust before :-)I thought I would never get to the end of rust...

Buying fro UK online shop .. Rules ?

Have been served well when buying cycling goods online up until this week. Wrong size item sent. Followed the returns process which works ok. Now have to wait until the goods are "re processed" and sent out which may take up to 5 days. I accept errors happen, but frustrating for the customer.

    Seat Post Extension

Thanks for your replies... Nob: That's a very nice seat post... Old Ned: Thanks for the reply. The frame is 56cm when measured from the centre of the crank to the top of the seat tube. It's a late 1980's classic road bike, so changing the frame is not an option. Adding on a section of tubing...

    Seat Post Extension

Old Ned - Not quite sure about your reply, but thanks anyway. The current seat post is original to the bike with it being at the limit line as indicated on the seat post. I just need a longer seat post (Thus raising the saddle) in order to straighten my leg slightly more on the down stroke. So...
