OK, I put some Enduro ones on my Z1 and it definitely feels different now. Same weight oil? There are some who say as well, that Marzocchi's recommended oil heights are underfilled so if they don't feel better after a few weeks have a play with that maybe?

Yes and yes. Don't be afraid to take on a seal change, it's actually pretty straightforward.

That's the Marzocchi squelch, it's when you don't hear that you have problems.

Re: Plenty of places on-line will have Marzocchi genuine replacement seals, you need the 30mm kit. Alternatively Enduro do seals for old Marzocchis and are a bit cheaper.

Don't close the release on the pump for a start. That's from experience.

Ain't that the truth! Strict budgetary constraints applied by mein Camp Leader led me to the point where I almost enjoying fixing them as much as riding them now.

Yeah I just put some of those Enduro ones on my tatty, old Z1s as well and so far so good. I believe Enduro redesigned their seals so the new ones are supposed to be better but on a nice fork like yours I'd go with the Marzocchi ones for sure. They just get more expensive every year.

Bit of a tossup between you and the bloke with the RM Slayer as to who has the nicest dual disc mount Z1s!

Those Z1s look like they could do with new seals.

All there in the original Shimano box. I think these stainless steel mesh hose are fairly hard to find so I'll leave this up for a while.
