    What retro FS?

re: well, money isn't an option an old FS in sweden would probarly be kind of almost free. Getting an "german" fs bike would probarly be kind of cheap, but well for an example an AMP is a lot nicer then a taiwanese build modern ride, got one of thoose in the garage right now. The memorys...

    What retro FS?

re: the fsr should probarly be a good bet. but my friend raced a I-drive as a 4x (called dualslalom bitd) and it worked for two seasons, think he got a new bike that he didn't like. he was a factory import racer and this bike did not ever fail, that's why I had it on my list... but it...

re: that is a great looking bike and works about the same as the strange looking klein right? This Nishiki is about the same as the CyclePro version sold in sweden, it just had some red pain insteed. Really good suspension but it was a bit on the softside while standing up, had a Santa Cruz...

    What retro FS?

I might need, or well I'm the mood for some FS bike from the good old days that still would be a good choice for xc racing with v's and around 80mm up front tops. I have been thinking of the GT i-drive, the sts, Cannondale Super-v ,Specialized FSR and so on.. anyone got any ideas or...

    RockShox SID -98 More travel?

Is there an easy way to make it a bit higher? the 99 version has 80mm's and 445AC mine has around 430 in the AC department. I want to use it on my modern frame cause of it's weight. The rebound is F*cked so it packs a lot of air and is basically a rigid fork with some "blowout" comfort...

didn't we all have long stem's back in the day ?

re: New geometry sucks, just look at the serious xc riders who have smaller frames and longer stems and setback posts to get it stretched. it looks like shit when people ride around with short ugly stems and risers it should be forbidden. I acctually feel like my retro bike is longer...

    tioga disc drive

re: we had a really famous rider here in sweden, who used his wheel in the late 90's the seethru version for training and some racing. sounded really cool, and looked the part on his worldcup bikes. The Crescent team had Tioga as a sponsor so they probarly just got them for free, and...

'My ideal bike for the First OWMTB Championship would be...'

re: It would have to be a Kona explosif or a S-works M2 for serious racing, stick a judy fsx with some altered insides and xtr v's that bike would do some serious hurting on newer ones to... Xtr hubs with mavic 217 rims or spinergys. or a Cannondale F series with onza brakes That would...

re: well I think u should go with the newer XT or SLX brakes, they feel allright and are good value! If youre going for Chris King hubs u could save up a bit more for the Cranks, the ck hubs aren't cheap and I had some problems with mine to so I sold them.

    Zaskar project

re: nice bits and kits but didn't really make it as a team. I'm riding an avalanche le with the same issue. it looks ok, and handles very well but gt's should have one group, one colour and everything matched to look ace. mine doesn't and this doesn't either. Hard to put the finger on what's...
