'My ideal bike for the First OWMTB Championship would be...'

I'll take one of these, how more original can it get. History, looks and bags of style. Charlies Breezer, stick on Klunkerz then hit those Dutch hills. Hope you've got a showing of Klunkerz.

For all round use, I would have to borrow one of Kai's bikes.

His '91 Epic Ultimate to be precise...

Or maybe Mike's ti. lugged '92 S-Works Carbon Ultimate!

Whichever one of them would lend me - I'd be more than happy with either!!

Pic attached of Kai's bike - I think Mike is less forthcoming with pics of his bikes...

I'll bring 2 bikes. Hard to make a choice…
So, my oldest bike : the 1986 C'dale with the 24" rear wheel,
And for the race, the klein attiude team america, campy equiped, for showing the neon color power !!!!

Not sure about my ideal bike for the event but at a global championship, for me it has to be something British and, preferably, not something that anyone else will bring.

So attached is my current planned ride - Orange Vit T2 with RC30s, Middleburns, Syncros, Control Tech, Dia Compe SS7s, XT thumbshifters, Flite, Hope, X Lite etc. and as importantly a spotty Orange jersey, Pace shorts, splatter M Frames and spotty Orange helmet cover (anyone got some fluro Dominators in 45 or 46 I can borrow?).

But hang on a minute, what an opportunity/excuse for a new build!

Would be great to rock up on a Highpath or Cleland, really doubt there would be another of those. And what about a super rare (mythical? has anyone actually seen one?) Tushingham B52. Or keep it clean with a yellow/blue Overbury's Pioneer?

OMG, this is going to be a busy couple of months.......

Having ridden a Highpath Cleland in Holland the Dutch reaction may well be to ask: "why are you riding a Dutch roadster off-road? and why has it got fat tyres?"

As a Cleland & Highpath nerd the question for me would be which of the numerous varients to take?

Unfortunately you could not take an original 1979 Cleland Range-Rider (1st generation prototype), as non of these appear to have survived.

Yep, can see that, but how cool?

Are you coming over?

I am tempted but am unlikely to be there due to work commitments :(

re:

It would have to be a Kona explosif or a S-works M2 for serious racing, stick a judy fsx with some altered insides and xtr v's that bike would do some serious hurting on newer ones to... Xtr hubs with mavic 217 rims or spinergys. or a Cannondale F series with onza brakes

That would kill most of the competition,
