Sizing on Specialized M2...

So I was wondering if any M2 fans could maybe explain the geo on the M2. I've read people say it has a steep seat tube angle. Some reviews say it feels like a big BMX.

Looking at my 15.5" frame, it looks like a modern day jump/play/4x frame. The shape anyway.

My frame has a 20.5 TT. My old 17" Kona blast also had a 20.5" TT. Will the M2 feel shorter when built? I've read the M2s are long for their size. I'm 5' 11" and like small bikes and come from a BMX background.

I've tried googling to find some history on the M2 geo but can't find anything.

I'd basically just like to know more about these frames really.

hmm

I acctually have a 16,5 from 93 and I usually ride 17,5-19" but the little specialized works with a 125mm stem and setback seatpost.

no mather what size they are probarly one the best bikes ever built, yes they feel like bmx's but they size kind of strange and u can have a slightly taller fork then original without any geo problems strangely enough. Mine has a judy on it and had a mag21 something in the beginning it just fits the bill...

so a 15,5 would fit a rider maximum lets say 170cm if it's the same model as mine

Have to agree with Captain...one of the best frames I have ridden, glad I just bought one again.
I'm 5'10 ish with stumpy legs and a longish body. I now have a 17" with a 100mm stem and a wee bit of set-back.
Works for me. :D

I should have it all built up on the weekend. Just struggling to find some decent flat pedals. Chain Reaction seem to be waiting on stock for almost all their pedals.

Using a 75mm Azonic Shorty, 2.5" riser bars. I usually run my seat low.

What is the top tube length on the 17"?
