    Riding 1x8, front mech useful?

Thanks for the replies :) I´ll try and see if I can use the mech first. But the e13 version looks really nice. And yes, it´s a square taper bb.

    Riding 1x8, front mech useful?

Hi there, I´m planning going 1x8 on my privateer. Can I use my front mech keeping the chain from falling off? If something more specific is needed, please feel free to tip me :) I´m planning using my xt m737 crank with a 32T ring. TIA /J

1998 Bontrager Privateer Rebuild :: DONE

A bontrager is a bontrager, privateers included. I know some people only count santa cruz bikes as "real" but not me. I have both a privateer and a race lite, both are great and have the same feel to them. Nontragers were as I and haggis said, rock lobsters with KB leftovers. Haven´t ridden...

    Bontrager Race Lite 1997

OK boys and girls, the next step in upgrading :D I got from bryanus a bonty judycrown with a ti steerer. To get it in working order I need a judy or sid. If I use a sid it will be a pretty light setup :) Anyways, here´s the first step ;) There´s also some other stuff with a bit of...

1998 Bontrager Privateer Rebuild :: DONE

Great seeing bontys on retrobike :) Paintwork looking great! It´s a ´98 if it has 1 1/8 steerer. They also made privateers in ´99, the last year bontys were made  Don´t know about nontrager as they were rock lobsters with bonty parts, like rear triangles. Will be watching this...

    Retrobike phone app?

Whatleymeister: Tapatalk is an app. It optimizes the site through the app. I have some nice forums that use tapatalk, like mtbr, watchuseek, macrumors and so on. Really cool app. But I didn´t know you could fix this site in profiles for a mobile. I´ll test it.

    Retrobike phone app?

Mtbr use tapatalk. So it´s optimized for working with tapatalk.

    Retrobike phone app?

Yeah, tapatalk is agreat idea! I use it a lot :) If it´s a normal site, the small screen won´t really do and retrobike doesn´t work really well, at least on safari.

    When the impossible happens!

Hi folks, I live in a suburb south of stockholm, so in the middle of sweden more or less. The pictures are about 10 km from the city center. Pretty neat, huh? ;) This time last year it was freezing and enormous amounts of snow. So this is a real treat. I don´t mind it being sub-zero...
