I run Mavic wishbone shifters on my RC100, they are, without doubt, not very good!!
Far too much lever throw on the front shifter, to get the Mavic mech to move across the chainrings, so if you want to ride it, go for Xt thumbshifters.
It’s unfortunately a common thing with cheap freewheels.
I always use genuine Shimano ones as replacements, but if the hub threads are not perfect, you still get the movement, although it will help a huge amount, as long as the rest of the drivetrain is not worn, or non-Shimano parts.
It’s 1990, a couple of mates at School had them and I worked part time at the local Peugeot dealer.
I have a catalogue at my parents house so ewhere in the loft.
