1998 Kona Explosif work in progress

I have it nicely tucked away ready for a refurb! I am wrestling with the idea of a full strip-down of the bike, maybe a respray, and rebuild with nicer parts. But I'm enjoying riding it right now, so will have to debate this with myself for a while longer.

1998 Kona Explosif work in progress

A minor upgrade to the '98: having enjoyed riding it a lot this summer, I felt that a couple of bar ends would help with the slightly-too-small frame (along with that horrible setback seatpost). As the bike's in a bit of a tatty condition, I thought these X-Lites in well-used condition would be...

    Today's Ride

Clocks went back over the weekend here so evening rides are suddenly in the gloaming when the temp is dropping. Today's Ride

I'll do my best but suspect the pic would be of me falling off into the torrent. (Which, come to think of it, would be quite a cool pic.)

    Today's Ride

As spring arrives for you lot, we are slipping gracefully into autumn -- today was chilly to start but by 11am it was 20C and absolutely cloudless, giving rise to the distinctive conditions we get around here at these times: warm sunshine, cold breeze. I took advantage of Mrs Moon being out of...
