Dragging myself back to riding not just hoarding bikes and getting fat....

It's striking that so many of us have similar obsessions and issues! Good advice above -- all I'd add is, subscribe to the 'Today's Ride' thread on here -- it's quite motivating to see accounts of other posters' rides, especially now the weather's getting nicer.

    Today's Ride

I'll do my best but suspect the pic would be of me falling off into the torrent. (Which, come to think of it, would be quite a cool pic.)

    Today's Ride

As spring arrives for you lot, we are slipping gracefully into autumn -- today was chilly to start but by 11am it was 20C and absolutely cloudless, giving rise to the distinctive conditions we get around here at these times: warm sunshine, cold breeze. Wanted Heart rate watch

If you're keen on measuring your HR throughout the day, it would be better not to have a monitor that requires a chest strap. Newer models don't need one and are more practical for all-day use.

    Help me identify my bike

Interesting-looking frame -- are the tubes (aluminium?) bonded into the lugs or is that just the paint scheme?

    Pets

Pure joy! Lifts the heart just looking at the pics. (Good panning too.)

Marzocchi Bomber - Bolted Arch or One Piece?

Not sure which is superior but suspect the later versions would incorporate more development and user feedback. But if you want to be period-correct, your decision will depend on the date of the frame. And if you want to use cantis (suggesting a pre V-brake frame), then the earlier version would...
