Look MI-960...an American cousin of the MI-90?

"Molecular Integrated Brazing." What the heck is that?

Look MI-960...an American cousin of the MI-90?

I will admit to not being an expert on LOOK MTBs, but I thought they were made in Canada. The fact that it says 'PROCYCLE' on the seatstay is more evidence to support that.

Show us your 700C ATB / MTB / Hybrid

Here's my 1990 Rocky Mountain Metro It was built as a 29er BMX bike when I got it; fat Kult Vans tires, 40mm stem and super wide bars. I redid it as a gravel bike, then I took it back to as original as I could.

    show us your Rocky Mountains!

Three months without a bike posted here?! Unacceptable. I love the colour scheme on it; classic Rocky red/yellow/black, and I figured it deserved some hot rodding, so it got a Z.2 BAM, matching polished RaceFace stem, carbon RaceFace post, and RaceFace post. Think of it as a Hammer t.o.

    Chromag Surface

2024 was a great year as far as acquiring Canadian bikes goes. I got bikes from three legendary Canadian makers; Marinoni, Brodie, and Chris Dekerf, in the form of this gorgeous purple '15/'16 Chromag Surface It popped up on FB Marketplace one night for a ridiculous price, and I spent way too...

    Steel 1992 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Super cool bike! But the decals are just all over the place; Head tube is from '96. Down tube is '95/'96 and on the wrong side. "Signature series" was '97. "race" was '97.

    Rocky Mountain Hammer

I love these Rockys that are seemingly original, but have paint that isn't in the catalog. I have a couple myself. I'd guess someone repainted this in the early 90's and had factory decals to put on, with their own take on where they should go.

    Rocky Mountain Hammer

My handy dandy Hammer guide; '90 Hammer = wishbone, top tube cable housing stops, two down tube water bottle mounts '91 Hammer = wishbone, head tube mounted cable housing stops, one down tube water bottle mount. '92 Hammer = wishbone, top tube cable stops, one down tube water battle mount '93...

    Mystery Brodie

This is fantastic - thanks! Pretty clear that it's not an Evolution or Holeshot as it's not RAD tubing. Though it came with the same Titec stem as in that picture. But the Rocket sure looks like a possibility. I was just too lazy to tear it down to the frame, but maybe I should to weigh it. I...

    Mystery Brodie

There is a similar thread to this already, but I'm hoping some new people or info might know some more about this; I have found a couple of similar bikes. Like this Kinetic; Mine doesn't have a brace for the disc brake. And mine has a very beefy chain stay setup; This leads me to believe...

    show us your Rocky Mountains!

Tried to do something different with my '94 Blizzard; I LOVE the hand position from these bars, just feels so natural. Running 7 SPD thumbshifters with an 8 speed cassette - as per the catalog setup - Ritchey brakes, and some custom painted Cane Creek wheels. And Blasphemy! A Kona fork...

    show us your Rocky Mountains!

One of my favourite threads but somehow I've never posted anything here. Where to start... How about my 1991 Summit Max - a model only sold in Germany I think. Not sure how it ended up as part of a deal with a low end GT and a junk BMX bike, but that's how it goes. This is how it started...

Help needed - pictures of Rocky Mountain thin air 1997

Not sure if this is the guy or not, but he is in Hungary; https://www.ebay.ca/str/bikedec I've ordered two sets from him and have been very impressed with the quality. I only see the one set for a Blizzard in his listings.

    Rocky Mountain performance paint

I find it really hard to make out differences in the '91 and '92 Hammer based on the catalog images that are online - apart from the obivous component differences anyway.
