ok , here we go , i start a building/thread for my yeti arc

found the frame here in Italy , not so far from my home
was painted in classic yellow-turquoise and my way was with 1993/95 components

but i've discovered that is an early frame serial number A181 so n° 81 , made in 92

so removed y/t paint and new idea about color
some little marks but frame is crack free

first choice was 1992 catalog

but after long research in the google sea i found 1 pics that i saw in the past but didn't remember where was , i don't know if i'm wrong but guess will come out a good bike

the fork :

1/2 days and i'll get the frame painted
stay tuned

cheers

Gianni

should trun out well but the welding is a bit horrid.

an example of what can be achieved given a bit more time and skill.

Yeti frames were built to race, a tool to do a job with (which they performed VERY well)
not to win some SOFT "eye candy" award for aesthetics. Cannondale had the best idea
in smoothing them off if you want to court this area.... And then Klein took it whole new
level with their overly flamboyant paint jobs, (form over function)

despite none of these attrabutes Yeti's still look great and float my boat...
looking forward to seeing this
build develop

here again , got yesterday the frame from painting

ispiration taken from this pic , yeticycles website http://www.yeticycles.com/#/race/1992

i'm not 100% certain if frame in pic is an ARC , but by comparing

the width of tubes , downtube with headtube i think i'm not going wrong ,

pic says 91 with Missile onboard  ( look at her eye = adrenalina )

same decals in Furthado pics , in different position

anyway i like it :D

i haven't found a Manitou like in photo , but Manitou1 look very nice

➡️ i'm still looking for a dried piranha in VGC

looks great! nice to see one in all turquoise as opposed to the yellow and turquoise which is quite common.

what are you going to build it with? XT and grafton?

solid. I'm confident the pic above is of her racing a steel FRO. Same bike probably, before she was given the Manitou

I've never seen a Team ARC powdered in desert turquoise
