In short, no. V's need a lever that pulls twice as much cable. You can get away with it by fitting 'travel agents' to the V's.
Someone will say that you can run them with V's and all you have to do is set up the pads close to the rim. Do not believe them. You get a horribly mushy setup, with the levers usually hitting the bars...OK (ish) in the dry, lethal when wet.
