I have an NOS Shimano SLR brake cable inner and outer, the one with the plastic collar around the lever end. I'll measure tomorrow and let you know. Remind me if I forget as at work until late tonight.

Thanks for the replies. It's for a build but not a mountain bike. I'm starting to rebuild my old bmx. The original was stolen after buying and modifying parts over many years and the extra thick cable with the strand outer. Not the coil stuff was the only thing that I ran on the gyro front brake that worked consistently. It's awesome stuff and the piece that made my bike work as well as it did.
