WTF is a Marin Madrone Trail?

Thought I'd seen all the early nineties zolatone Marin models.....until I spot this on eBay (got all excited by the pink forks!)

Looks like Zolatone, but has '92 spec decals and low end components.

Is it a European only type model?

A Google search suggests that Marin's first mtb was called a Madrone trail....but this must be early nineties.....I've never seen one of these.

Agreed, that name decal looks messed with...

Yes, it's the foreign issue. I can't remember if it was continental europe or south asia/australian issue.

Similar to muirwoods in the line. It's genuine and very rare! Just not great tubing quality parts. worth having in your collection.
 
There was one listed a week or so ago in the same area (Bristol) so I'm guessing this guy bought it and stripped it of parts.

In all the times I've looked at that catalogue I've obviously never scrolled down to the budget bikes! (unless that's a different '92 catalogue to the ones I've seen)
