It's a sad evening...

My eldest has just snapped the drive side drop-out on his ally Pinarello Surprise road frame coming home from school. He was considerably cut-up when I drove out to rescue him earlier on and found him on the roadside.

It was a real surprise when I found that the rear mech and hanger was mashed up in the rear wheel spokes, as I wouldn't have thought that the billeted aluminium drop-out would simply snap from riding up a hill (no crash involved). Still, there we go and we are where we are.

He's now expecting to be bike-less for a considerable time whilst we source a replacement. However, I'm hopeful that someone out there will have a spare winter Pinarello frame that they're no longer using.

His was a 56cm frame, but was probably a touch on the small side, so would consider anything in the 57-59cm range. We've still got the forks, so happy with frames only if that's what you've got.

Look forward to hearing you - thanks for replying if you do...

NOW SORTED - Managed to get a lovely FP2 for less than 200 notes!

Re:

Probably too large, but ..... I have a powder-coated Pinarello, with a 58cm top tube, 19.2 cm headtube, 62ctt seat tube.
Columbus steel (SL, I Believe, looking at old catalogues, it looks like a 'Treviso'). 130 mm rear spacing.

Campag dropouts on the frame, non-original forks (Columbus, with Columbus drop-outs), including head set and Campag bottom bracket. Cable routing through top tube. Bought via LFGSS as a stripped frame. Only ridden once since powder-coated, (red with white panels) and has been sitting in my garage for the past three years, as it is a little too tall for me.

PM me if you want some pics and any more details. £150 posted.

Hi Cossington

Thanks for the post - but you're right, this one will be too large. Thanks anyway.
