WTD: For trimble build....

Ok - been over the Trimble and this is what I need. Anyone help me...

1) Threaded 1" forks - better still a 1" Judy crown threaded
2) 1" Chris King threaded headset or any other for that matter
3) White cables - I know John was looking at some recently
4) 27.0 seatpost - short one would be fine. Syncros good.
5) Nice black grips
6) roller pulley for front mech (avid one would do)
7) seatpost clamp - mmm. Its a 31.8 one I think....
31.8 bottom pull front mech.


Front mech issue is fine BTW - its a normal mech size.

Now a question - dont call me thick but Im not sure about this...

On a threaded steerer on a fork, how far above the top of the headtube should the threaded steerer stick out?

Its so much easier on ahead systems...

not positive jez , but i think it depends on the headset

on the rts ( the only one i can get at to measure at the moment ) it has about 20 / 22mm with bottom race and measured from the top of the headtube and thats with an LX threaded headset ?

on most threaded headsets you have a plastic ring in the top lock nut which you can remove to allow it to be screwed further down

not that it looks very nice with the steerer sticking out the top

any help ??

Ive had a syncros 27.0 dead aswell - sold it for a tenner....

chain reaction were selling some 27.0 on e bay recently

not sure on the make , been looking for one for myself for the RTS since i got it

damn awkward size :evil:
