Maybe one day I will actually own my GT Avalanche (sp) :D

Aye that's fine - just watch you don't start hankering after a Kona Hei Hei, Breezer Lightning, Yeti Arc or Raleigh Maverick. If you do your wallet will die and all hell will break loose on the WDS front

;)

Lets just say I thought my C-16 and my Pace were quite adequate before this place came into my life....

Someone close to me thought I had one too many bikes anyway. I won't comment on what they think now.

Suffice to say you will find your Avalanche here but you might also trip over a few additional items on the way!!

I think the big problem is the relative cheapness of frames vs components. I keep looking at LTSs, RTSs, Konas, etc, and thinking - oh, fifty quid for a frame, that's not bad. Deep down I know that if I did it would be hundreds in rebuild and components. :D

Matt - buy an Avalanche. You'll find it far more affordable all this time later, and probably far more enjoyable. :)
