Work bikes

This is mine. 99 Tequesta with Orange Clockwork 10th anniversary fork. 11 speed SRAM, Deore cranks, Thomson layback post and Surly Sunrise bars. What was created as a cheap, no worries commuter build has become my most used bike and I adore it. Funny how that happens.

I have the same model too and I am hoping to put rigid GT forks on it as I don't really like the RS Judy XC's that are on it now, too heavy and squishy. The GT forks have been waiting for a suitable bike to put it on since last year! I am confident that the handling will improve with a rigid fork instead!;)

Thirded. My all-weather commuter, bought for £90 cos it was local and had Phil Wood hubs, realised on the ride home it was the perfect size, spoke to the owner and it turns out it was a (likely Gilles Berthould built) Rando Cycles of Paris that had been repainted in the late 90s, put it together with some hastily bought spares and parts bin stuff. It is now on it's second set of wheels, fourth chain/cassette combo etc and I have decided to take it backwards a bit and replace the Deore 9 speed stuff with 80s Suntour thumbie and rear mech and an 8 speed cassette, replace the LX headset with a Shimano 600EX and generally give it a clean and spruce, I may lose the rear rack too.

Anyway, weirdly the only bike I'll lock up in London, yet one of the ones I'd be saddest about losing!
