Work bikes

Re:

Triples go back a LOOONG way. It was the most convenient way for a builder to keep a frame short+sporty if the owner was a giraffe ( I'm 6'6" ).

Re:

My daily ride is this old LEGNANO Civic Citybike.
Got it for free from a mate in our company.
He bought it in the 90´s, used it a few times and throwed it in the cellar.
Now he wanted to scrap it, but i saved it in the last second.
Shimano SIS shifters, canti break, everything working well.
Also the original tires :D

I no longer have the Brooks saddle, it was probably shoddy workmanship that caused the saddle to snap in half after only 42 years of use. Appalling.

You know, if you sent it back to Brooks they would have still fixed it for you...

Re:

My commuter bike. 96 GT Avalanche owned since new. Does some off roading too. Frame has dents and scrapes but no rust as its aluminium :)

Doesn't have the slicks any more as I got a newer road bike ( won't post a pic of that. Don't think Carbon Fibre bikes are allowed on here ! LOL )

Original almost everything. Never even had reason to take the forks out. GT knew how to make a good bike back then.

Can't help thinking the newer GT bikes don't seem to be as good quality. Maybe I am just getting old ??
