Well I've changed my daily rider again but this time because my CAAD10 managed to attract yet another bumper and got us both run over. I was down for a month with broken ribs and some pretty bad bruises to the 'ol spine but the bike wasn't so lucky. A horribly broken wheelset and though I wont know for sure until I rebuild it I'm pretty sure the frame is bent on the drive side chainstay. Either way I'm not too keen to ride that bike again, owned it for 8 months was involved in 3 car accidents. I blame the bike.
Now I'm riding my 1990 Specialized Allez Epic almost every day with some '97 STS DS mixed in for variety. I've had both of these for years and have yet to crash on either.
So happy I was able to get it back. A bit more funny history. This bike was purchased by someone else new and returned because he dropped the chain and scraped the chainstay a bit. He felt it should be covered by the lifetime warranty. Miyata warranted it and gave him a new bike. He helped me as I was a poor college student and couldn't afford the $700 price tag. I bought this one for $300 off the new price. The original Shimano bb spindle just started pitting this last year. All major components are original except I have rebuilt the wheels with new rims and spokes.
