News WMB "Does Retro Rock" article now online

The "Does Retro Rock" article from What Mountain Bike Issue 100 is now online, thanks to the WMB Ed for allowing us to host this.

The article features various site members along with a Guy Kesteven from WMB riding various old machines including a Pace RC-100, Raleigh Team Dynatech, AMP Research B4, Tushingham and Klein Attitude. The bikes were compared against their current favourite, a Giant Anthem. Read the article to find out who came on top!

Nice, thanks for sharing, but wheres the klein? Great article anyways :)

Thanks for posting this because I missed it when in the mag. A good article I think, shows why we do it without encouraging every man and his dog to get into Retrobiking! ;)

This is awesome! I found it today, looking for any mention of the bike I still ride! My regular bike is based around the team-issue Raleigh Dyna-Tech frame in this article. Barry Clarke left his spare frame behind at the Copthorne Hotel, a sponsor of the team at the time. It was the end of the season and he hadn't used it. The frame is stamped with his name on the bottom bracket and is a joy to ride. Mark's paintwork is in *much* better condition than mine (!) but the yellow glows like a torch at dusk. The write-up is dead right too, the rear triangle is incredibly springy, so the bottom bracket flexes side-to-side as you apply power. Thanks for posting this great article :)
