got my frame painted with 7042 grey , some metallic flake in first clear coat , decals and second clear coat

i need take some pics

OK, so far for grey I have read RAL7035, RAL7036, RAL7042.

And mine is RAl 7040.

Ok, I have collected most of the parts in the past weeks. I am still looking for a Chris King nothreadset, XTR shift cables, Porcupines and perhaps a seatpost. Although I could use the IRD repro I have of my Ultimate, I think I will keep looking for a Ringlé or black XTR seatpost.

Parts I have got at the moment are: Judy SL forks, Answer Atac stem, black and silver Taperlite bars, Mavic 1st generation Crossmax wheels, Shimano XTR M950 brakes, shifters, derailleurs, bottom bracket and cranks with black RaceFace chainrings.

I am planning on using some 3dv parts and now have a Ringlé anti chain suck device, a 3dv seatbinder bolt and some chainring and bottle cage bolts.

Time for painting frame, forks and stem, however, I am not looking forward to removing the cable guides.

I probably have what you need bud. I know I have 3DV CK, some 26.8 Ringle posts etc.

I used a company in the UK who specialises in re-finishing cycle frames
Called Argos cycles who are based in Bristol

The whole company is based solely upon refurbing old or damaged frames along with customising new one, although I don’t live that far away they mostly post their work out as the client base is national.

Hi Ferry

No black CK unfortunately. You may want to go with a nice black XT in the meantime while you search for a CK. That’s what I’ve done with several projects.

Thank you for your replies. Is there a grey ARC on this forum that's only clear coated?

Late to the party on this one, but here is my old A189 which was beadblasted and clearcoated, as was the process BITD.
