Winter cycling!!! anyone have any winter cycling recommendations around Chesterfield, Derbyshire? I've been taking the son in law out for a few months along the Chesterfield canal to Rother Valley mainly to get his fitness up and to lose him a bit of weight. He's done really well and knocked a full ten minutes of his first time of 47:00 down to 36:02 to cover the 12 miles from my house to Rother Valley.
Generally I cycle all year and I'm happy on roads but he isn't. We can do Sunday or Saturday mornings still no problem but it's the mid week teatime rides that will be the issue once the nights draw in, he has no room for a turbo trainer and really doesn't want to lose his new found almost fitness!!
