Absolutely. Pod filters are really a bodgers solution. I bought a stock airbox and carb kits to return to full stock settings. It makes me laugh that people think they know better than mid 70s Japanese engineering masters with PHDs. Stock airbox and jetting gives best results across all revs.That has real potential. This was a great era for Japanese 4 cylinder bikes. I had an 82 Yamaha Seca with quad carbs. Pods made them absolutely impossible to tune. Hopefully the Suzuki system with those lovely mikunis isn't as complex. Another big issue was leaking rubber carb boots, almost impossible to find intact, which is the reason home mechanics would switch to the podsStock airbox gone and replaced with pod filters
