Bought a bike recently that was advertised as a 27.5, but on arrival it was wearing 26 inch wheels.
Annoying: yes. I've a 29er and various 26ers so fancied having a 27.5 to try.
The frame has adjustable drop outs, and the 26er wheels were fitted with maxxis minions in 2.35 which appeared to have a fair bit of clearance.
I don't want to buy a set of wheels to find they don't fit, but as I have a set of road wheels, I thought I'd see if they fitted as they are 29er really.
I appreciate that road tyres are not a good fit/comparison in reality but it's all I have to play with.
Based on the pics below showing 700c/29er clearance, and the room to manoeuvre with the drop outs (set as how they arrived with me for thec26 inch wheels), what are my chances of success in fitting some 27.5 wheels on the frame?
Are there any other measurements or tests I could do without shelling out for a set of wheels and tyres?
