Old stuff is far more involving. Sold a good few of my modern 29ers.

All the 165 mm replacement air shocks seem to be 38mm travel is that a problem?

As with everything these days, older ideas are often poo-pooed but some of them are still good, despite the marketing hype around modern stuff. Modern bikes are great if you want to cover more ground, faster and more comfortably, but can feels a bit soul-less. Even though I still prefer modern for marathon events, retro bikes are the ones that make me smile.

It’s not that I don’t like the modern stuff, I just don’t know how it works……….. :facepalm: (I’m still getting over threadless headsets)

This was one that went. Incredibly capable,incredibly comfortable, incredibly expensive but not that exciting and way beyond anything I need these days.
