To consider a Hei Hei to be superior to a Ritchey is just pure madness and smacks of ignorance.

Apples and Oranges in some respects and horses for courses in others. I prefer the ride of my Ti Kona to my P-23 on my local trails but any comparison of early 90s to later 90s and fairly different builds is irrelevant in so many respects.

I'm not sure that really adds much to the discussion though

I think they look horrible, remind me of shoddy Peugeots from the early days. Same goes for every gary fisher bike, just make me feel ill.

I have an ultra '88 ish

What brand had such brilliant home brand bits? Ritchey force ? Brilliant
Ritchey vantage? Wcs ? Comp?
These names mean business what's not to love.

Yes there are other brands but it just looks fast sitting there, no excess metal lovely and light. Sure they ride harsh compared to modern stuff But they all do
