why so much love for ritcheys ?

One ride will tell you alot. Very light steel frames beautifully welded with unique for the time touches. Also tubes hand selected by Tom for the right attributes contributing to ride quality.

One ride will tell youall you need to know.
I had a P22 team for a while - it was very tatty, but totally original. I've never known a bike attract such attention.

I think they look horrible, remind me of shoddy Peugeots from the early days. Same goes for every gary fisher bike, just make me feel ill.

I presume you are refering to the red/White/blue P series bikes? The early fillet brazed framesets are absolutely stunning. Great craftsmanship, lovely big smooth fillets, deep rich paint. I'm sorry, but if you can't see the beauty in an early Ritchey frame then you are in the wrong place.

Word.

Strange man.

My old Softail looked better than most bikes, half built!!

Also this didn't look or ride shoddy either.

As for my old Annapurna, well you decide if that looks shoddy to you? Poor picture, but I'm sure that wont cloud your judgement!!

ps sorry for the picture quality but we didn't have digital cameras back when proper bikes were being built.

Defo think he's on about the blue/red/white ones as that colour reminds me of the Peugeots (Lazer?) I used to look at bitd. Think they could be had in blue/white or red/white

I don't have any great love for Ritchey bikes but understand the heritage and appreciate why people do lust after them. ;)
