I've just found a great little bike shop not too far from me :D

Prices were very reasonable, and they had what I wanted in stock.

The kind of place that you would actually want to go back to in future.

I only found out about it by word of mouth though.
 
I tend to do all the work on my bikes myself despite a couple of them coming with free servicing for life, for two reasons; I enjoy working on bikes (it the past I've given my time to the Bristol Bike Project) and most bike shops are 9-5 which make dropping off and collecting the bike a real pain.

That said I'm quite happy to pay someone £25 to bleed my brakes as whilst I enjoy most jobs I hate doing brakes.

I've done that, had a road bike with stupidly narrow rims, and 80% of the time it would double snake bite when putting the tyre back on, so I figured it cheaper to pay a shop to do it than trash several tubes trying to get the bloody things on.
