19 years is a solid innings for a mog! My (black) cat is called Gee (after a certain downhiller). He must be 15 or so now.

We used to live on a quite, dead end country lane where my cat used to lay in the middle of.. my neighbours knew him so always waited till he begrudgingly moved out of their way... one day some wanker ran over him.. he was still pretty sprightly.. man, i was an emotional wreck for weeks.

Had the same kind of situation with my childhood cat. She made it to that sort of age. Red BMW M5… residential street. You know the rest.

Ox was my nickname at school. My mother's black cat who is my avatar she refers to as Mr Puss, everyone else calls him Beefy he turned up in a hell of a state just skin & bone with a head injury about eight years ago, unchipped & fully intact (if you know what I mean) He never left, gotta be knocking on mid teens now & appears to be a Bombay.

Now that’s disappointing. I was expecting a tail of daring-do!
Perhaps saving an orphanage or such
Kinda makes you question it though, doesn’t it?
Once A Hero as in “was he once a hero?”
or
“Once A Hero always a hero?”

In my case neither! 🤣

I would have chosen Bomber if available at the time. Though nothing of that name seems to come up now when searching 🤔

This thread is fast becoming a Pets of RB thread!

Gives a whole new meaning to POTM..

Mine goes back to the early 2000s when a left-leaning UK newspaper's website (OK it was the Guardian) had a very active series of chatrooms, including one for cyclists. I wanted to join the conversation and for no real reason chose 'moonlite' because I'd just fitted X-lite bar ends to my Orange P7. It was just any word that could be ended with 'lite'. I used it here in case any of those old posters had moved over here -- so far, none. Or none who cares to out themselves, anyway.
