1988 Brodie Romax

First good length ride today, beautiful sunny Vancouver weather too

Riding buddies broke out their romax’s for a proper “romax ride”, my #278, Ryan’s #279, Roy’s #227 (late 1987) and Vintageman’s splatter beauty, we figure an 89’ romax with the curved gatorblade

I really love the way it rides, well balanced and smooth. It just fit’s like a glove.

Initial shakedown rides have been fantastic, next is to head out and hit some proper single-track, stay tuned…. 😁

Brodietastic!!! 😍😍😍😍

So no bike mechanicals? 👌💪

What about rider mechanicals/issues? Or shouldn't we even get started? ;)

Happy Good Friday! Gonna be a very nice spring long weekend  (well, for the most part)

Amazing weather in Burnaby today, my first of two rides planned today, this 1st one a solo ride taking a really good neighborhood forested trail. It has great views of Burrard inlet and a very steep dirt trail climb that’s quite rocky at its most challenging point very challenging to keep balance. The romax cleaned it no problem.

Followed by an awesome downward flowing trail in reverse, a nice payoff.

I love the 88’ romax geometry, kind of a nice sweet spot between other late 80s design’s & early 90s designs. Faster handling than my 87’ Ritchey Ascent but more comfortable and stable than early 90s race bike style designs.

Love it 😍
