Just curious and nosey really, have seen a couple of references from people on here to ships and other things that float, so though I'd ask the question.

I am, Chief Officer, Merchant Navy, working on the UK coast.

We used to have a small fleet of boats in the north sea for fishing purposes....

what does this involve me old china.is it anything like studying rock samples in bore holes (my bro was a well anylist at atloas wireline a few years ago)

i deal with the first enviromental and enviromental inpact surveys my main job is to make sure all the equipment goes into the water and recovered safely and that samples do not get contaminated and that if anything breaks i fix it asap always busy at mo im working in the office (read now building a new workshop) for the last 3 days iv'e been laying sewage mains and leveling the ground and laying founds for the workshop to lay on :shock: hard work lots of digging :cry: :cry:
