Who was setting up a retro bike museum in the US ?

It was me. :D

As a side note, I have managed to get a few pics up of some of the components that we have already. Still have more stuff to photograph, more stuff to arrive, and more stuff to find.

For those that want to see some pics they are here... http://fairwheelbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4934 Lots more pics to come.

Some items at the top of our list to locate: Any leads, please let me know.

Flite control cucamonga cranks.
Grove hot rods
profile billet cranks

Hershey naked hubs

You should put your website into your profile. Also, check out First Flight Bikes, which has AFAIK the best retro collection in the US.

In re: the Salsa stem. I'm putting together a band for a one-time performance at a local fat tire festival, and the other guitarist is Ross Shafer, who started the Salsa company in the '80s, but sold it a few years ago and now makes musical instruments. Bass player is Dave Garoutte, whose company DKG does a lot of machining for custom MTBs.

Both Dave and Ross made their own instruments.

Hi Repack, thanks for the info. Jeff at First Flight is helping to supply stuff for the collection.

I met Ross a few years back, though I don't expect he'll remember me though. Good luck with the festival.
