Who uses there classic road bike as an everyday commuter

i am currently using my Pollard Specialite as my daily commuter , and for the eagle eyes yes it has track ends and gears along with guards not shown in this pic .

Nowt new under the sun....a former clubmate of mine owned a Kuota with rear-facing dropouts which I thought was "innovative" at the time (ca. 2007)!

Seen it done on a bike from the 50s, too.

I don't plan on stopping riding my record sprint this winter. Only thing is I'm worried about wearing out the freewheel and chain - it's the original gold anodized helicomatic stuff.
