Who knows about American Classic wheels?

I picked these up on a full bike build at least a year ago and popped them on my daughters bike. They were pretty much as new then and remain so.
I'm thinking of popping them on my own build but would like to know something about them. Do they have a weight limit. Are they considered decent or low ball
As you can see the hubs have a high flange and the rims are v section rim brake only. Although I haven't weighed them they feel very very very light
So...does anyone have any knowledge of these?

American Classic's are pretty decent wheels, not high end but more uppper-mid. Light and strong with good hubs.
Don't know about old wheels, but their new stuff is usually rated for well over 100kg.

You could try emailing them for stats/info on old wheels and hubs I guess.

I have some 26in classic disc wheels and they have been excellent.

Also I loved my old AMClassic seatpost, truely excellnt design, wish they still made them.

Not these ones exactly but I had a set of the probably slightly earlier non-disc hubs on Mavic X517s and the pawls in the freehub went (cassette wouldn't engage under load). Apparently is was a common issue and there's no fix or replacement parts available for the old models. Crazy light wheelset.

:) we had some American classic road wheels on my wife's bike about 10 years ago. The hubs sized after some light rain. Sent them back, got a refund.
The local dealer told us there were a lot of fakes around, so we got another set (genuine).

The hubs seized after some light rain, took them back, got a refund...........

The wheels we replaced them with are still running today. 10 years on.
