White forks

I have just bought a set of white forks as the price was right. A set of reba rlt. I have a bunch of spares to convert them to sid level which was also a deciding factor.

I did want black to tie in with the rest of the build/vision but now I've pulled the trigger I'm looking for inspiration/advice on making the look of the bike work.

The rest of the build is black, reverb dropper, Thompson elite stem, carbon haven bars (grey/black), black wheels, cranks etc.

Am I overthinking things, and will black grips and saddle just work, or should I squeeze in some other white bits like saddle and grips?

Maybe I should have held out for black forks, but I got impatient as I want to finish it before I go back to work. Hey ho.

Any pics of builds with white forks to help me overcome my ocd. At least the decals are black/grey.

Cheers

Re:

imo - forks most definitely don't have to be matching to the frame, as certain colors can set things off wonderfully ... but, the wrong color fork can ruin the aesthetic pretty quickly.

... sometimes one simply has to throw all the parts together, into a trial set-up ... to see if they blend/balance out; and if they don't, then one must replace the offending bits with new/better/more suitable ones ...

a quite satisfying process to the ocd hiding inside most retro-bike builders, actually.

True. I think it's going to work out, plenty of parts to try once it all arrives. Just need to sort the headset.

If you're not happy once built how about a Powdercoat & new decals? I did that with some Fox Float RLC. I just had to get the local fork tech to knock out the bushings & refit afterwards as they don't like the heat involved in the process.

Don’t worry, white can be fine.......

Re:

I quite like a white fork on a black build. I had this with my Mojo HD build. Natural carbon frame, all black components and white Fox forks. Original build also had white stem from previous build but swapped to black Thomson and it looked better. Can’t find any photos on phone, must all be on the iMac.
Personally, I’d avoid white contact points. They won’t stay white for long on a mtb. Even on my summer road bike they get manky pretty quickly.
