I've got a cheapo I carry with me it's a bell air strike 500, I got it for nothing brand new so can't complain. It does either valve, the bit that slides in and out to push air in is a double extension supposedly pushing out twice the air. It's small, comes with a pressure gauge on. Comes with a cage bracket to mount to frame. I did a 26x2.2 with ease. Would recommend as a good cheap option

I carry a Topeak Mighty Morph. An awesome pump it folds out like a mini track pump, but is small enough to fit on the inner frame triangle! I burped a front tyre off on my 29er (my fault playing around with pressures!), and this pump got it back on and sealed! The flexible hose doesn't risk damaging the valve too. Won't go on a ride without it now.

Just had a look on chainreaction's site and it gets good reviews

Its bigger than some but it works well and has a relatively high volume for a portable pump. Also easier to actually pump with one foot on the base and a T bar handle.
