Hi all
Looking for a road tyre to put on my saracen.I live out in the sticks so the roads are'nt great & loads of leaves about at the moment.Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers

Tioga City Slicker in 26x1.50 or 26x1.95" if you want something period-correct.
They have been making these since the late 80s, but the design has recently changed. Available in blackwall or skinwall

Otherwise I'd suggest the Bontrager Hank. I have a pair of those on my Copperhead and am very happy with them. Available in 26x1.50 and 26x2.2 size.

Schwalbe also has a big range of road tyres in all shapes and sizes, so you might want to google for them too.

Looks very similar to the Schwalbe City Jet... I've been running these for over a year now, almost daily, and no punctures, can't recommend them enough!

As a bonus, when I bought mine, amberwalls were a pound cheaper than blackwalls :)

city jets are great if you dont mind wrestling them on and off the rims with 11 tyre levers.

I think the op was mentioning rough roads and leaves so not entirely sure slicks will suit

Cheap but good semis .. Try schwalbe land cruiser

Don't laugh but I have had these on my everyday commuter for the last two and a half years. They roll very well on tarmac but still have plenty of tread to cope with light trail stuff, I've even ridden a good few miles in the snow. Roughly 4,000 miles on them (I rotate front/rear occasionally) and good for the same again I'd say. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/btwin-tyre-2 ... 53250.html

I've not found 'em too bad, but then I've only swapped 'em over 2 or three times :)

my puncture protection ones on mavic 221s ended up snapping two park tyre levers....
