which music streaming service? opinions wanted

I have a gramophone.



And Apple Music which I compile playlists on.

The boss has Spotify which she loves for the genre extensions at end of playlists where it noodles off by itself.

We have Spotify Premium atm and it's decent enough. I have found recently though that I've searched for a song (usually 90's dance, sometimes a remix) and it's not been available so I've ended up buying the CD I had bitd with the song on. Problem is I can't then add it to Spotify or play them in my car as it didn't come with a CD player!

Due to this I've been considering Apple Music but have not been able to determined whether I can upload my own CD's like you could with iTunes then merge with Apple Music? If I can I will probably move over especially as they're doing some bundles with other Apple products that cost no more than the ever increasing Spotify bill. also heard that the Apple sound quality is better, especially if you tweek the settings.

You can add your own files to your iTunes library and it merges with Apple Music.

I think Youtube premium gives you the biggest catalogue. Lots of old stuff that isn't on streaming services can be found there. +movies, live music, news and more. But get a Brave browser and an adblocker and the ads will be gone, so seems a bit of a waste of money then. I am on Tidal because they have high quality files, up to 24 bit 192khz. As noted before here, they have a better system for paying artists, but I still buy cd's when I really like something.

Yes, my point was that without premium but a good browser and ad blocker there will be no ads without paying.

Another YT fan here. I watch it with an ad blocker. I tried it without and it was unwatchable. But with a blocker that works (some don't) it is amazing.
Also have spotify mainly because the family likes it and with the family all having access it is very cost effective.
