I seem to remember seeing a single elevated chainstay bike on here somewhere, but a quick Google search reveals the Rocky Mountain Suzi Q and a Brave Warrior.

I also found this carbon thingie, along with a few modern rides - 29ers, fatbikes, and such - that also feature a single elevated chainstay design, but likely no relation to the OP's bike.

Does it have a serial number from which the serial number aficionados among us can deduce something?

DBR branding came out in 96/7. E-stays were earlier and DiamondBack didn't do one

try 1993... but yeah they didn;t do estays...
