WHEN WILL KLEIN BE BACK??

Quite an elaborate approach to sneaking a modern into this section.

I am sure Gary is perfectly happy to know his bike legacy is very well appreciated, revered even.

We all need to move on at some point.

Ferrari? A good question. The company has it's own management team and it's strategic direction is quite apart from the Fiat brand. The cars aren't designed by the same people, made in the same factory sharing mostly common parts. On the flip side, their accounts are consolidated in to those of the Fiat group.

The Fiat Abarth Sciento however, pure, cynical, marketing spin:

No matter how hard you try, a turd is still a turd no matter what the badge on it says.

All in all to say, that my frustration is that the Klein story / saga seems unresolved. Maybe I am too much a a film and literature buff, and shouldn't expect the real world sagas to end poetically...

I dont think we should move on.

I didnt start this thread to sneak in a modern bike.

Storck are the answer to your question .

I thin it is the former german Klein importer who created the brand when they sold it to Trek .

the problem with comebacks is that they are short lived and crap
how many films (as you quote ) are better in the comeback mode
err none , oh wait a minute that snow shite and the seven dwarfs one i saw was better than the origional as was shaving ryans privates
i digress

the GT comeback zaskar was no-where near as good as a proper one
and most are probably still in the box un-built awaiting the non existent
rush on the investment ( well mine is anyway )

gary klein and adrian carter and others pushed the bounderies of bike design when it counted and shall forever be remembered for it by a few
but now can you name a current bike designer , especially one who don't
work for the happy go lucky bike co of zongshen province?

its over mate ,thats why we're here ,on this site , today

Could not have put it better.

One point though, Godfather II.

Oh, and secondly, the Greatest, Ali.

:)

Good points,

John Travolta was at his peak dancing in Saturday Night Fever, than he slowly faded till rock bottom..remember "Look who's talking too?

How good did it feel to see him dancing as Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction? Greatest comeback ever. Of course, as you mentioned it was short lived, but satisfying.

A short lived Klein comeback is fine with me.

i suppose
tom jones
depeche mode
boy george
travolta
johnny cash
jack nicholson
dolly parton
babs windsor
rush
etc and on and on

more the old stager class
never really went away

why's garry making telescops these days ?
probably because he enjoys it and its low risk retirement work
(this is said without prior knowledge the telescope industry )

Why would he have any interest in 'coming back' just to ape other people's innovations?

Travolta in PF was nothing like a dancing comeback, it was just the fact it was a seminal movie that made it seem like he made a comeback as an actor.
