When did Proflex call it a day?

The reason I ask is because I've just acquired a proper beater of a Proflex branded bike and cant find a single reference to it online. Its clad with a mixture of XT M76* bits amongst others which would indicate 2006ish?
I thought they shut up shop late 90s?
I can only assume someone acquired their name ? I'm sure Bob Girvin wouldn't be very approving.
Can anyone shed any light...I'm just intrigued but honestly doesn't matter

Never seen one like that before. I thiught they went late 90s. Beast would have been 96/97 and they did a few after that if I recall but I didn't think much after.

Yep I agree....its not too bad either. Tis a strange one...look at the decals... too similar to be a coincidence?

Could be a genuine kne but maybe they just rebated some of catalogue frames after, or someone did, like barracuda, merlin etc.

Yep likely... I actually bought it as shop/pub beater, will probably get nicked

I do seem to remember something about proflex being revived at some point. Maybe short lived but I'm sure I saw something at some point as I remember thinking it was cool to see them back.
