I am in Nottingham and I'want to learn to build my own wheels if anyone on here knows how and is willing to show me I would be happy to pay them for there time ( in either cash or kind I spray and weld).

Hey hey

I'm a rubbish teacher, but can build wheels (although getting a bit used to radials where I'm working now, so may take a couple of attempts to remind myself of 3 cross!). I don't mind lending a hand :) Knowing a sprayer comes in handy sometimes too! ha
You got any bits you want to build, and got any kit to build with?

many years ago I got a book called "The Bicycle Wheel" by Jobst Brandt, bloody brilliant book and taught me how to build my own wheels :D

thanks Carlos you have mail.

Ive looked at a few things online and printed a few but just would rather have my first couple of attemps with sombody stood by my side . I dont know why I am mechanicly very confident but wheels are just witchcraft IMHO

Just built my first wheel and it looks great I though it better to send my boy out for a test ride he came back thumbs up I'll probebly give it to my mrs to put a few miles on before I test it myself ;)

Dr.Robotnik THANK YOU VERY MUCH

this is a great example of why i love this forum
if anyone in central london would be willing to do the same with me, i'd be a very appreciative man.
no spray or weld skill but i've got top bar presence and will gladly oil an evening of bike chat in return
