Wheel building costs .... What do you expect to pay?

My decent local charge £30 per wheel all in - build spokes nipples and all the free ribbing about getting a modern bike i can handle

:shock: im not crying to much though as i need the money and by gum are they paying me well for it and for Mark

I also think £25 per wheel is a pretty normal labour charge, it is what I charge but the shop is my living. I do give disounts to clubs and I would ount RB as a club.

£20 inc spokes[DT butted] or £8 if its just a rim swop over.£5 for a truing

Mercian Cycles in Derby charge £110 for a pair of wheels DT stainless double butted spokes included
Pricey but I havent had any problems and had three sets built in the last year

Local mate is gonna build them now

They are gonna measure for spokes, I will order them and then its just the labour (£50)

I will need another done soon though

were i live, they were going to charge me 30 pound for just one set of spokers per wheel and 25 pound to build per wheel, so i ended up buying the spokes of CRC what cost me around 15 for 1 set of spokes, so i think thats pretty good
